THE LUCKY DIP - A VARIETY SHOW
FIRST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH
Always a new show!! Our monthly showcase featuring the crème de la crème of Circus Arts performers along with a bevy of local talent is planned for the 1st Friday night of every month at the Byron Entertainment Centre.

The Lucky Dip will kick off a frenzied feast of talent hand-picked from around our incredible shire! At The Lucky Dip, you’ll never know what you’re getting, but you can be assured that ENTERTAINMENT is at the top of the list. Each month, the line-up will change…but at each show you can count on a colourful carnival mix that could include some of our area’s funniest comedians, craftiest cabaret artists, enthralling dancers and soulful singers. But the sky is the limit – it’s anyone’s guess what we’ll next pull out of the bag!

THE CIRCUS SHOWCASE – FREE ENTRY
LAST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH
This monthly extravaganza that gives students of the school a chance to show off their many talents.
Audiences will be amazed at the agility and skill of our Performance Troupes new bike and skipping routines, our levels students will be taking to the air on the static trapeze and silks and our high flying trapeze team will be there to finish the night with a bang.
Show time starts at 7pm and runs till 8pm.
This is a free event and open to all members of the public to watch some of our upcoming and established performers and support local artists.
After each show, the flying trapeze will be open for anyone over the age of 5 to have a swing for $5. Snacks and drinks will be available from our Big Top Café on the evening.

The Byron Entertainment Centre is a unique facility that caters for a variety of events. Located in the Byron Bay Arts and Industrial Estate this multifunctional venue is the largest indoor entertainment space in the Byron Shire and beyond.

Licensed to accommodate as many as 1,100 patrons, the centre opened on May 1st, 2006 with a performance of Don Giovanni. Since then the Byron Entertainment Centre has hosted a variety of events from dancemusic parties to gala dinner functions while the Circus Arts school and the Big Top Café operate daily.

The venue also includes an Art Gallery space, with changing exhibitions by local artists.

There’s something for everyone – circus and trapeze classes for all ages, dancing, parties, team building, cultural events.
