It’s been a few months, but Mae and the crew at the Byron Entertainment Centre are ready to get back on the job for 2010! The Pink Paper Aeroplane Production Company has taken over the reins and they have put together a diverse and colourful BUMPER show for February!

Our 2 featured musical artists have been knocking the socks off the shire for a few years now. The Shire’s very own firecracker and Dolphin awards finalist, CODY BUTLER, doesn’t write songs. She crafts aural brilliance and delivers it to her audience with the passion of a sonic crusade. Combining soothing pop and folk elements with her voice and guitar, Cody is a master of her craft and performs with the passion (but not the accent) of a young Billy Bragg.

TANE ALLEN is an acoustic singer songwriter with lyrical content spanning the great human emotions of love, loss and loneliness as well as observational social commentary. Raw energy and passion fuel a lively, honest and energetic performance.

Of course, the show is known for its knock-out circus performance and we have a racy triple trapeze act that will have you stirring your cocktail just a little bit faster! The ever-magical Donna Wilde has returned from the USA for a hip-shaking lip-smacking dance routine. And a few surprises that Mae and her friend The Lady LaQuanda are keeping close to their ample chests!

Come out to the circus for the only monthly variety show in the shire and support the great talent we grow in here in our paradise corner of the world!


There will be drinks available and a tempting supper menu on offer from our fully licensed Big Top Café from 6:30pm.

The Byron Entertainment Centre is a unique facility that caters for a variety of events. Located in the Byron Bay Arts and Industry Park this multifunctional venue is the largest indoor entertainment space in the Byron Shire and beyond.

Licensed to accommodate as many as 1,100 patrons, the centre opened on May 1st, 2006 with a performance of Don Giovanni. Since then the Byron Entertainment Centre has hosted a variety of events from dancemusic parties to gala dinner functions while the Circus Arts school and the Big Top Café operate daily.

The venue also includes an Art Gallery space, with changing exhibitions by local artists.

There’s something for everyone – circus and trapeze classes for all ages, dancing, parties, team building, cultural events.
