For our March extravaganza, The Lucky Dip is proud to present the first glimpses of new material from local artist and musician Ilona Harker. Ilona has been brewing songs secretly for years in her head. As a gun for hire in Butterfingers and Sugartown, Ilona was still wanting more.  
Not so long ago she decided to purge herself and putting pen to paper and fingers on strings she began performing her own material. She secured a record deal in France last year and has just finished recording her debut album ' that which lasts' with Jodi Phillis (Clouds fame) and her equally renown partner Tim Oxley.
Ilona atmospheric music is best described as 'folk noir' if such classification is relevant anymore.

Renee Searles brings to the stage a touch of glamour and mystique from a bygone era. Renee’s unique approach to the ukulele brings a rare sensitivity to songs of love, longing and desire in a style of ethereal romanticism woven through a mix of ragtime jazz, old world blues and lilting poetry. Her sense of playfulness, sensuality and wistfulness takes the audience on a journey into the vulnerable places that we all share as human beings.

Of course, the show is known for its knock-out circus performances This month we have Belinda Hultgren on the mysterious Spanish web. And Claire Gardner will thrill with an original performance on the static trapeze. They've all been ramping up the rehearsals to put on a corker of a show for you!

There is a great licensed bar and a cafe serving meals and nibbles open from 6.30pm.

The Byron Entertainment Centre is a unique facility that caters for a variety of events. Located in the Byron Bay Arts and Industry Park this multifunctional venue is the largest indoor entertainment space in the Byron Shire and beyond.

Licensed to accommodate as many as 1,100 patrons, the centre opened on May 1st, 2006 with a performance of Don Giovanni. Since then the Byron Entertainment Centre has hosted a variety of events from dancemusic parties to gala dinner functions while the Circus Arts school and the Big Top Café operate daily.

The venue also includes an Art Gallery space, with changing exhibitions by local artists.

There’s something for everyone – circus and trapeze classes for all ages, dancing, parties, team building, cultural events.
